Referring to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/W/4.1.27. - we have succeeded in getting Barker's to reduce their price to £270. nett, subject to our having the Car finished with two coats of lead colour with varnish in the last coat. This latter, I assume, will be quite good enough for the purpose. They have been given the order to proceed with all speed. Will Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [crossed out] please say by return, whether the order to Barker's will be O.K. if it covers the work exactly as per Mr. Munro's letter to him of the 7th December, deleting the fitting of windscreen wipers and dippers, which we understand W. will do. We want to be sure that the order covers all the requirements and we note slight discrepancies between the letter quoted and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/W/11.12.26. - for instance, the former does not mention [crossed out] lowering the back seat, whereas the latter does.
