- 2 - 20 H.P. 1. Messrs. Windover have promised to go into the question of the test bodies for the 20 h.p. being made suitable for both types of steering. It was also pointed out that on the body for the upright steering, they have altered the instrument board to enable them to fit the body, and that we cannot do this on all chassis. They will therefore endeavour to make the body suitable for fitting to chassis fitted with standard instrument board. 2. Trap door for rear axle to provide access to the oil filler plug. This will be done on all bodies. 3. Floor boards require fixing. It was arranged that turn buttons should be fitted to these so that they could be secured and prevented from "Blowing" up. 4. Louvres in the Scuttle let in wet and mud very badly. It was arranged that on the bodies which we now have fitted with louvres we should carry out the suggestion made by ourselves of fitting louvres inside to prevent this happening, and on future test bodies being made the louvres have been deleted. 5. Wind Screen. Rain comes in very badly round the wind screen. This point received very careful consideration and it does not seem possible to make any improvement. 6. It is very awkward to see out of the cars with upright steering, the joint of the screen being right in the line of sight. This appears to be a problem for which there is no solution if one body is to be made suitable for both types of steering. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} | ||
