The Adamant Engineering Co. -2- From the American reports we have come to the conclusion, however, that it will be best for us to try the Marles gear and in order to get the best possible comparison we want to fit it up with our own steering column. This will enable us to use the same dashboard fixing and avoid variables introduced by the vibration of the column as a whole. We are not quite sure as to the most satisfactory method of getting the steering for test. We are preparing a sketch using the drawing you sent us showing how we can fit your box to our column and the modifications we require (if any) to fit the box up exactly as we do on our own chassis. We will then submit the drawing to you for your observations. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
