C O P Y 18.1.35. BUICK (MARVEL) CARBURETTER. Accelerator Pump disconnected, 13.95 m.p.g. 109 miles/average speed 40 m.p.h./2 Hrs. 40 mins. Accelerator Pump connected, 13.31 m.p.g. 109 miles/average speed 40.9 m.p.h./2 hrs. 40 mins. Tested on the following route - Ashbourne, Buxton, Chapel, Glossop, Ashopton, Bamford, Rowsley, Matlock & R.{Sir Henry Royce} With accelerator pump disconnected, the carburation is weak at 40 m.p.h. and below for acceleration either part or full throttle. This becomes worse with the lower speeds. Above 40/45 m.p.h. carburation becomes normal. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.H.Ratcliffe. | ||
