DISTRIBUTOR & CONTACT BREAKER

DISTRIBUTORS
Slight tracking in the centre of one distributor and small piece chipped off the outer edge the other distributor, otherwise both in satisfactory condition.

ROTORS & ROTOR BLADES
Both rotos O.K. Normal wear in the centre and leading corner of blades.

CAMS
Both cams are in satisfactory conditions, no wear visible.

BEARINGS
Excessive play in both bearings.

CONTACT LEVERS
Pair of contacts in one head in good condition, the average contact wear being .014", the rubber rubbing block wear .003". Both pivot bushes in satisfactory condition. The other head, average contact wear .017" and the average rubbing block wear .028" - this excessive wear probably caused by the poor method of cam lubrication. One pivot bush loose in contact lever, the other O.K.

[Handwritten]: Otherwise both heads in satisfactory condition. Re-grinding the adjustments will then open up a considerable gap, the excessive slackness in the bearing may wear both.

H.T. Ignition Cable.
Cables tested O.K. electrically, but mechanically in poor condition, the outer covering having become brittle, cracked and frayed due to heat and oil.

[Handwritten]: There was short circuits of the cables which let the bus down when climbing.
