COPY. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Extract from memo. OWH/2/JAB.16.8.36. 22-G-V - Engine. The connecting rod bearings of the above car are in an excellent condition. With the exception of No.2, which has evidently had some grit go through, the bearing surfaces are perfect. There is no sign of looseness or hammering in on the shims. We have examined the bottom halves of the main bearings and being white metal, there is the usual pitting marks but no sign of cracks or breaking up. From the condition of the bearings it would appear that the life has been doubled. G.W.H. | ||
