Referring to drawing LeC. 2494., Mr. Royce fears to start off with the webs as heavy as shewn, as he says it will always be possible to increase the webs by machining some metal off the dies, but it will not be possible to make them lighter. He would therefore like you to modify the dimensions to the attached drawing LeC. 2499.

At the same time we shew a modification to the lubrication of the piston pin, whereby the oil holes from behind the scraper ring are connected with the inner edges of the piston pin bosses instead of the bore, so as to introduce the oil directly on to the ends of the little end bearing of the con. rod.
