FROM P.N.

Steering on 12-EX.

I have received your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG25.8.26 and note that you will send a covered Phantom car to London on Friday the 3rd xxxx prox., which will be fitted with the light type front axle and hydraulic shock-absorbers in front, also having standard tyres.

As I have informed you on the 'phone today, I propose to go to France about the 6th or 7th September for a few days and I will consequently arrange to take the car with me and carry out some runs under Continental conditions. I will also endeavour to find a mountain with a view to testing temperature conditions with the modification you are going to fit to the water cooling system, enabling this to be switched over to pressure cooling at will from the normal.

This last feature I consider very important and I shall be very glad to have an opportunity of making some tests during the hot weather.

Would you let me have the necessary particulars of this car soon in order that the triptyque papers this end can be obtained?

P.N.
