(c) There are also some points in the design which may be altered to facilitate production.

3. K PARTS.

It is expected that it will be possible to obtain these from the Derby Stores, and they are therefore not being considered for manufacture at present.

If a larger quantity than 500 guns is put in hand, it may be necessary to provide for manufacturing K parts.

4. BOUGHT PARTS.

It will be confirmed that all necessary bought parts can be obtained from stock, but it is suggested that the Buying Office are asked to obtain quotations for 500 sets of all these parts immediately, so that there will be no delay in placing orders once the final sanction is given.

5. MOUNTINGS.

Oerlicken mountings are being obtained from the Admiralty for the first 25 guns.

It is understood that a decision regarding the type of mounting for the remainder will be taken this week in order that the details may be released for production.
