RR 755 REVISED (IOH) (DE 649 9-12-26) BM. 2/1187. L8350 COMPLETED 23.12.27 STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Description of Parts: 14/52 AXLE RATIO. Date 28.11.27 X No. 8350 Drawing No. 1725 Part List Origin: To increase performance. Experimental Test Report: We frequently receive complaints of lack of acceleration. This becomes more important as the amount of traffic increases. The 14/52 axle ratio was standard on Silver Ghost and is used on U.S.A. Phantom cars. It is recommended for heavy cars only. Road Test Report: The gears will be identical to those used on the Silver Ghost. There is very marked increase in acceleration with this axle ratio. A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. INITIAL | DATE | REMARKS BJ. | 23.12.27 | agreed R.{Sir Henry Royce} | 1.12.27 | Agreed. FHR.
