With reference to the designs of the cylinder boring machine which you have in hand, Mr Royce writes as follows:- "I had the impression that I had arranged nearly every feature with reference to the cylinder boring machine. It is intended that the operator walks round the machine tending the various heads as he would do with separate machine tools, and it seems impracti- cable and undesirable to bring the control to one point. .H.R."
