With reference to larger multiple drills, if the ones we have are not satisfactory or large enough, I propose that a trial be made of the "Baush" as per enclosed illustration.

I see from the American Machinist that Packard have a cylinder boring machine on the lines of the one I got out the preliminary drawings of during last winter while in Egypt. Two operations are the same but the 3rd one is not done viz. the chambering, we also have several features patentable which they do not seem to have, the Packard one was made by Beaman & Smith.

It is encouraging and I think we ought to press on with ours, as soon as we can have a tool draughtsman, preferably Mr.Moon, I could finish the design in a month, so much has been done.
