-2- EFC5/AT26.2.19. Contd. out-put, cut in speed etc., and allowing him to make us up a trial machine. We shall be glad to know if this meets with your approval. Mr. Young also mentioned the point that he had seen a regulator of this type, very neat and small, in which only one bobbin was used to operate both the vibrator contacts and the cut-in contacts, one pair of these being placed at either end of the bobbin. This being the case, the regulator would naturally contain a small amount of compounding on account of the series coil in series with the main contact. It appears to us that the whole business of regulation could be got down in this manner to the very smallest possible space. We have just received two new C.A.V. N;G.R.R. type dynamos. We are putting one of these on test immediately and the other one on 49-GB. We are proposing to make systematic bench tests of every scheme of regulation that is available, and thoroughly try out the different systems. EFC. V186 D 100-2-21 S79 D (L.001) V183 'R'N | ||
