re SALES STOCK AT WORKS.
-------------------------

Referring to your memo D/BP/HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}5/OG16.10.26. we consider Sales should be informed that we supply with all chassis a plug in the switchbox. This plug can be used either for charging the battery in a garage or for the inspection lamp.

It should also be pointed out that the contacts of this plug are different sizes in order to make it absolutely foolproof for the customer. The plug supplied by Lucas with each inspection lamp is not entirely suitable for our switchbox as the two contacts are both the same size.

The point to be decided is, are we to supply an extra plug for the Lucas inspection lamp, and ask Lucas's to supply future lamps without the plug or are we to take the plug from the switchbox and fit it to the inspection lamp. If we do the latter it would mean that if the customer requires to charge his battery he would have to dismantle the plug from the lamp, which although it is not a very difficult job is not in our opinion the right thing.
