Referring to our conversation on the 'phone today, we propose that the demonstration of our new system of six brakes shall be made to as many representatives of the Press as possible on one day shortly before the Motor Show, in order that interest may be focussed on this new Rolls-Royce achievement at a time when many Provincial people are in London taking a special interest in motor matters.

We would have liked to have six cars available fitted with the new brake system, but it would appear that you are able to provide one only for the purpose, that is, the Cabriolet which CWB is by way of taking to France.

As the three new demonstration cars are being completed in London in time for this event, we shall, it appears, be able to count on four only for Press purposes.

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} tells me that he will send down men on Monday next with a view to fitting the necessary brake parts to these three chassis, and I have explained to him that front springs suitable for the purpose will have to be found and fitted. Obviously we have not to consider the matter from the same point of view as we should were these cars going into the hands of people who might take them at high speeds over rough roads in France. Consequently, it is anticipated that there will be no difficulty in the selection of springs suitable for these four cars in time for the press demonstration, which in all probability will take place about the 14th October.
