X HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}S HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}1/G.30.3.33. Sft.{Mr Swift} Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} RE: MATERIAL ORDERED FOR PEREGRINE AND BENSPORT. ------------------------------------------ In order to prevent misunderstanding, I wish to confirm the position in regard to the above as follows :- (1). PEREGRINE. All work in the Production Department instructed direct from this Office is held up for Peregrine chassis. This applies also to the instructions to the Order Office for the 200 sets of material, with the exception of such parts only as are common to Bensport. (2). BENSPORT. For Bensport 200 sets of material have been instructed, but only 15 sets are to be machined. With regard to the 200 sets of material, this where common to Peregrine and Bensport is transferred from the Peregrine order to the Bensport, but here again machining on the 200 sets of material is not to be carried out but merely on the 15 sets. I am writing on this matter particularly to prevent any misunderstanding, as undoubtedly the further development work which is going on on Peregrine in particular will result in scrapping at least some of the material which was originally ordered for Peregrine and is not common to Bensport.
