Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} F.{Mr Friese} E.H.

Referring to the 200 sets of material which were authorised at the end of January, I under- stand that no machining work has been done on this material at the present time except for the 12 advanced chassis which, as per the Minutes of the conference held on the 31st January, were to go ahead specially with a view to being ready by the end of July or early August for Show and demonstration purposes.

I agree that in view of all the circum- stances of the case you should now go ahead with the machining of 100 sets of this material in respect of all parts which are not likely to be affected by modifications and changes as the result of further tests.

Doubtless after a conference with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} you will be able to arrive at a schedule of what these latter are likely to comprise.
