W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Rolls-Royce Limited,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Thank you very much for your letter of the 30th June.

I value very much your opinion of the chronograph, but note that it must be used in conjunction with the fifth wheel. I shall act upon your kind suggestion and arrange for Mr. Tombs to visit Derby as soon as you can fix a mutually convenient time, as we could prepare an interesting article on the result of his investigations.

I note with interest you are going to the Dolomites this week and I trust that the Continental situation will be more comfortable in order to enable you to enjoy it. It would interest me very much to know of your reception as I have the fond belief that you will find people very ready to receive British tourists.

Incidentally, I mentioned to Mr. Cowen last week that I should very much like to try, as early as possible (not with a view to the publication of any notes at present) the latest Bentley, and I believe he is communicating with you.

Best wishes,

Yours sincerely,
Geoffrey Smith
