REPORT ON VISIT TO JOHN MARSTON.
8th January 1940.

The visit was paid to John Marston by Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Ed. {J. L. Edwards} and Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Col. for the purpose of discussing the position of experimental radiators.

The following radiators have been delivered and the inner units are ready for fitting:-

1. Ripplet to P.D.466. delivered 2.11.39.
2. Silver Dawn to P.D.446. delivered 14.12.39.

The following radiators are held up or cancelled:-

1. Silver Dawn for 3.2.G.7. held up for lack of parts. These have been supplied and radiator will be delivered shortly.
2. Pressure cooler radiator to S.C.D.1179. has been cancelled due to the war.

The following points were then discussed:-

I. CAR HEATERS.

John Marston recently submitted a car heater to their drawing B.D.S.26. which eliminated the bearings in the matrix, fitting the fan direct to the motor spindle which was extended for this purpose. The motor was mounted on rubber blocks behind the dash-board. A heater of this type has been ordered with the following modification constructional details of which has been left with John Marston.
