Dear Sirs,

Luvax Piston-Type Shock Absorbers

We shall be introducing in the near future a new Shock Absorber fluid branded GARGOYLE SHOCK ABSORBER OIL LIGHT, to take care of the above type Shock Absorbers. This grade has the undermentioned physical characteristics and will be found quite suitable for this service:

Specific Gravity . . . . . . .900
Pour Test . . . . . . . . . Minus 50°F
Open Flash Point . . . . . . 295°F
Redwood Viscosity at 70°F.. 120"
at 100°F.. 65"
at 140°F.. 43"
at 212°F.. 33"
Colour . . . . . . . . . . . Pale
Compound . . . . . . . . . . Nil

This oil is suitable for use in all climates owing to its flat Viscosity curve and extremely low Pour Test.

We would much appreciate your inclusion of this grade in your Instruction Books where the Luvax Piston-Type Shock Absorber is concerned.

This grade is already well distributed overseas as the same lubricant is also recommended for Lovejoy Shock Absorbers and a number of knee-action type units used on various makes of cars.

Yours truly,
VACUUM OIL COMPANY, LIMITED

O.T. Jones
Chief Engineer
