The Motorola Distributing Company. 182, Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, S.W.1. 9th.August.1934. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Gentlemen, In reply to your letter of August 7th in connection with our invoice, No.0260, this invoice is issued only for the purposes of record for goods on loan, the retail value being shown. The list price of the particular receiver which was supplied to you on loan for test is £27. 10. 0. The 12 volt series of the model Twin 8 costs slightly more, that is 25/-, than the standard 6 volt type which is priced in the catalogue to which you refer. Actually of course, there is no difference in the appearance or performance of the receiver, but internal modifications and the more intricate wiring system necessitate the slight additional cost. The writer understands that our engineer had mentioned this matter when he was at your Works. Should you decide to purchase the receiver now on loan for test, it will of course be subject to the special trade discount of 33.1/3% as previously intimated and subject to the set being satisfactory it is understood that you wish us to submit to you special nett prices in relation to the quantity in which you may be interested. The writer trusts that this letter suitably clarifies the position and that you will be good enough to communicate with us if there is any query, technical or otherwise, which requires elucidation. With compliments, Yours faithfully, THE MOTOROLA DISTRIBUTING COMPANY. Signed G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Chesney, Manager. | ||
