So far The Company (as represented of course by the directors of Morris Motors) have not made up their minds what to do about it, and in the mean time I and my two co-patentees have had a very attractive offer from The Rover Co to take the thing over. In the ordinary course of business we should be inclined to accept this offer and not press the S.U. Co to exercise their option. As this course would however probably involve my joining The Rover Co and as I am reluctant to leave the S.U. Co both for sentimental and other reasons I wish to do everything possible to persuade the gentlemen at Cowley, with whom we have to deal, to take the job over and properly to exploit it.
