To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.19.9.34.

We have arranged with Dick Summers to let you have his car to-morrow to deal with the coachwork complaints.

We have fitted a dropped front cross member to the car but we shall remove this before it goes to the coachbuilders. As soon as the coachwork is finished we should like to have it back here, when we will fit the cross member and apron.

We had a great difficulty in persuading Mr. Summers to give us a reasonable amount of time for the body, but he is particularly anxious to have the car back by the middle of next week. If we can get the car on Tuesday morning next we can manage this.

Mr. Summers wanted to meet you at Conduit Street at noon to-morrow to discuss his coachwork, if we can finish the fitting of the front cross member in time we shall send the car down to meet you there, if not we shall send it straight to Park Wards where it will arrive not later than Thursday night the 20th inst.
