"CORNICHE(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)" - ENGINE CONTROLS. The design of the engine controls E.CD.1205/6 for the 'Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)' shows an additional facing on the cylinder block for a bell-crank lever for the hand ignition control, the hand ignition control is not used on the B.V. engine, so that this facing is not required for the B.V. The 'Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)' will be introduced along with the B.V. on production, and as it is not known how many engine units will be required for use in 'Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)' chassis, the engines should be altered as little as possible whichever car they are required for. Will you therefore add the control facing to the B.V. cylinder block casting as soon as possible. The stud holes for control bracket should be plugged on the B.V. engines, so that the cylinder block itself will be a common part for both engines. DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
