666a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.20.7.39. Thank you for your reports and the note on the running of 30-G-VII dated 18.7.39. With regard to oil leaks from the engine, you mention "rocker cover, tappet cover and elsewhere". We should like to know exactly where the other leaks are located. Front Suspension. We presume you will try packing the spheres down at the foot of the torque arms to centralise the top yoke bearings. Bonnet Knocks & Radiator Movement on 11.B.V. We have improved the front end shake considerably, fitting a harder rubber and turning it through 90°. Even without diagonal stays the car is fairly satisfactory for radiator shake, and the fact that the rubber is harder should, of course, improve sideways location. We are sending out the rubber to you, and should like to have your comments on it. The strip of steel recommended by AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} will be effective with regard to sideways location, but we do not like adding more pieces unless it is necessary. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
