RE MOUNTING OF SEDANCA.

14.8.4.

MOUNTING OF BODY. This should be carried out in precisely the same manner as for 18.EX. see EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/22.11.28. In view of the close clearance between the body and the rear wheel the body should be kept as far forward as possible.
On N.Sch,2770.(original enclosed to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) we shew how the back of the body will come relative to the rear of the chassis. As we were always aware, it will be necessary for Derby to cut away the bottom rail at the centre to clear the pipes from the two level device, and also on the near side to clear the vent pipe. Should the wheel be forme to touch the body, the dummy hub should be slightly tilted around its tube and the tripod stays slightly shortened.

FRONT WINGS. These have been made complete with valances by Hoopers. They will need fitting to the frame, filling and painting.

REAR WINGS. These are complete except for painting. In no case must they be attached to the chassis or the platform steps.

STEPS and TOOL-BOXES. These should be constructed to our N.Sch.2768. The material for steps will have been supplied by Hoopers.

LAMPS.
HEADLAMPS. Lucas R.160.S. with electrical dipping gear. mounted on brackets carried off the wings. See N.Sch.2633.
WING LAMPS. Lucas Steamline. All lamps have a black finish. Although the original instructions included a spot lamp we have since decided to leave off this accessory.
TAIL LAMP. LUCAS. as now fitted to Phantom.

INSTRUMENT BOARD. This hase been instructed to be like F.56034, with the addition of a green lamp.

FLOOR BOARDS. Those in front of the subframe front crossmember are to be made by Derby. The horizontal boards stop at the subframe but the sloping ones extend to the body panels. All faces between the sloping boards which are fastened to the dash brackets and the boards on the body must be fitted with strip rubber. The floor covering have been supplied by Hoopers.

SCREEN WIPERS. A Dual Bosch Electrical Wiper has been fitted to this car. It should be wired to the accessories box.

PAINTING.
The bonnet should be painted black.
The chassis should be painted black.
A small pot of Pastel Blue paint has been supplied for re-touching.

Would Derby please send EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} a report on the body with respect to its mounting as soon as the car is complete.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}
