1015 File F.J.K. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} or to Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH. (Struck Through) Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}12/JH.12.3.40. Self Sealing Bearing on Rear Axle Half Shafts - Senior Rangw. Due to a foul which was discovered by Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH. on our original scheme for the fitting of self sealing bearings at the utter ends of the half shafts of the semi floating axle for the Senior Range, we have produced a revised scheme PL.148 of which we enclose herewith two prints. Whilst revising the design of the bearing housing we have taken the opportunity of reducing the cost of machining of these pieces. Where ever possible we have left the forging unmachined and we are detailing it accordingly. Our previous scheme was PL.142. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [Signature] | ||
