Messrs Lucas Ltd.,
Warple Way,
Acton.
London. W.3.

For the attention of Mr. Pitt.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 15th of June. We note that you have got some good results on the MP.3. type damper, but we are not sure whether these are of the spring loaded valve type. Therefore we do not see how we can co-relate your tests with our own. However if you would carry out tests on the two shock absorbers we are returning to you, we shall have indicator diagrams taken under the same conditions, and then we should be happy to compare our respective results.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls Royce Ltd.
