Dear Mr. Robotham, A Mr. Sartoris has been in touch with me for some considerable time in connection with a new type of front wheel suspension which has been devised and which has been fitted to a car which is in the possession of Mr. Sartoris. Actually, some little time ago I went for a short run in this car, and although this run did not provide a very strenuous test the springing did seem to be satisfactory. I am wondering whether it may be of any interest to you and for this purpose I am enclosing herewith a blue print which Mr. Sartoris has sent me, and also the following extracts from his letter:- "I enclose a blue print of this new design. You will see that the coil spring now acts directly on the stub axle forging: the other end of this spring is connected to the axle beam through a tension rod.
