With reference to your CJ16/E4.1.24. So far no standardisation sheet has been issued for the modifications necessary to reduce the heat under the scuttle. The experiments we made were with mock-up parts. The D.O. are now producing a design - there are several details to be considered which we did not bother with on the experimental parts.

We had in mind that this alteration might come in on cars where we fit front brakes because it will be necessary to make some alterations to the undershield to allow for the brake parts, so that we may as well at the same time make it the best we know as regards reducing the heat.
