Sr. has asked me to drop you a line as to whether we could not fit a gauze of finer mesh to the oil filter of this car as an experement. There appears to be very little doubt that the present type of gauze is apt to let small particles of metal or foreign matter find its way to the bearings etc.. and causes small score marks.

If you agree to the above, we could dismantle and examine the filter more frequently and report to you as to its state of cleanliness.

Should you agree to the above, we would suggest that you send us the necessary material.

We have dismantled the engine and we will prepare you a detailed report upon the bearings which appear to be in a good condition.
