RR.56 BEARINGS & LARGER OIL PUMPS.

Replying to Sr/VA4/GM.16.12.36., we are trying to urge a dozen sets of oil pumps and big end bearings for for the cars in France which have covered over 10,000 miles.

We agree with you that the ideal time to tackle the main bearings would be 12 to 15,000 kilometers. There will obviously be a lag before we can get larger oil pumps and big end bearings, and some cars may have to be treated before big end bearings arrive; you could, however, subsequently, give these the larger oil pump without much difficulty.

I do not think you will get into much trouble with big ends with a larger oil pump and main bearings which have been taken up.
