Bellringer - Repair Manager} 1380 Hms/R.14.6.37. OVER-HEATING IN LONDON TRAFFIC. As a result of the work done in London traffic yesterday, we are recommending a new fan which will eliminate over-heating under traffic conditions until an atmospheric temperature of 32°C is reached. 32°C is equivalent to 90°F. {Mr Friese} , which is just about the maximum temperature ever obtained in England, and is just about 6° hotter than anything which has so far been experienced this year. The fan will take slightly more horse-power to drive than the standard article, and, in consequence, it will be necessary to ensure that the drive will stand up. This will be done on 35-EX. We know, however, that the drive will be perfectly reliable under English conditions. We are putting 12 of these fans in hand experimentally for customers' complaints, and would recommend that sufficient are made on production to deal with all known customers who have been alarmed by the behaviour of their cars in London traffic.
