RECEIVED 26 SEP 1913 CJ14/GT25913. Re Steering Wobbles. X/457 Mr Royce says that there are two of three sorts of steering wobbles. There is one wobble by which the forward end of the car moves bodily backwards and forwards in a lateral direction. This is the wobble which the alteration in the angle of the pivot will cure. We should therefore find a car which has this lateral wobble of the whole car, then the alteration can be done, if it is cured, instructions should be issued, and instructions should point out exactly what sort of wobble the inclination of the pivots is designed to cure.
