There is very little excuse for these failing and depending upon WW. For further instructions. You have the practice of other makers to refer to, and comparisons with these should be made for life and efficiency.

SMALL STANDBY MAGNETO.

This is now one hopes very satisfactorily arranged. I have seen most of the arrangement - drive, magneto bracket, etc, seem extremely suitable. You only require instructions for wiring and terminal. You only require changeover switch, but this can be introduced when it is ready and proved.

CONDENSER.

Really there should have been no trouble with this, but we have sent further instructions for improvements to ensure more perfectly reliable connections by altering the case and packing so as to make it more certain the connections are sound and good.

COIL.

I quite agree to the longer coil. It should be of the simpler outline that we can machine. I do not think there should be any reason for poor efficiency with the stabilite case in the new position, but the longer has been thought an improvement and should be adopted.

There is not the slightest excuse or reason for the primary insulation being wrong. The one or two layers of oiled silk or linen to ensure the insulation being reliable cannot make any great alteration to the outside diameter. If necessary reduce the diameter of the primary copper wire.

DYNAMO.

The commutator and brushes not remaining in more perfect condition is a serious matter and should have EPC's constant attention until corrected. I do not believe it is want of rigidity of the holders. To prove, get some thicker ones made or cast.

We suggested first a better position to avoid sparking. This proved good, but not enough improvement. Have we gone as far as there is any benefit.
