COPY. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/ET. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd., L U T O N. Beds. Attention MR. F.{Mr Friese} WRIGHT. Dear Sirs, Further to my letter of 12th March 1941, I have now received the new differential assembly which you sent me and have had it fitted to my Vauxhall 10 car. Up to date, it is satisfactory. It now remains to settle the account. Your original invoice was for £3.4.9d. Owing to the parts being faulty, I have had to pay the labour charges of having them removed and the second set of parts fitted. I have also received a charge of 13/10d. carriage on the second set of parts from Vauxhall's to Derby. None of these charges would have been incurred had the work done to the axle at Vauxhall's only last December been satisfactory. I therefore feel that, in defence of my own interests, I should deduct the charge of changing the parts at Derby from your original invoice of £3.4.9d., and that furthermore you should bear the cost of carriage of the new parts. I should be glad to hear that you are in agreement with this proposal. Yours faithfully, | ||
