1097 1st September, 1941. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}i/ET. Messrs. Vauxhall Ltd., L U T O N. Beds. Dear Sirs, Replying to your letters of May 26th and July 9th, I am sending you herewith a cheque for £2.8.9., being the sum of £3.4.9. which was the amount of your invoice, less 16/-, the cost of fitting the parts. The actual mileage covered by the differential fitted by your Service Department at Luton was less than 400. The sum of 16/- in no way represents the value of the inconvenience that I suffered due to the car being laid up, and I am astonished that you consider that a failure after 400miles running is taken care of by supplying material only and not by including labour charges. If you really think that I am being unreasonable, perhaps you will put the matter before your Managing Directors. Yours faithfully, | ||
