The AVON INDIA RUBBER CO. Ltd. - 2 - We note that you have not yet been able to assess the data on power loss obtained in your recent drum and track tests. The undersigned will be pleased to visit Derby to discuss future work on this question whenever you are ready. We are grateful for your offer to loan us one of your test cars and a driver to collect the skid pan data we require on the effect of tyre design factors on cornering power. We find that some of the tests in the programme we prepared last September are no longer required in the light of subsequent experience. A reduced programme has therefore been drafted and when the weather appears more settled we will communicate with you regarding arrangements for those tests. As requested by Mr. Grylls we will forward to you a further 12 - 6.50/16 tyres on Wednesday, 3rd May, 1939. Finally, we would like to place on record our appreciation of the benefit we have derived from your co-operation in the development of our new tyre. Assuring you of our best services at all times, We remain, Yours faithfully, THE AVON INDIA RUBBER COMPANY LIMITED. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Mackay. DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND CHIEF CHEMIST. | ||
