Customer's No.: X 8673 Date: Oct. 24th 1927 Test of Le-Carbone EG3417 Narrow Brushes on M Machine One set of narrow brushes, in grade EG3417 material, were submitted for test by the Le-Carbone company 27-1-27. These brushes represent the type containing the largest quantity of lubricant, without actually being impregnated. The decision to obtain these brushes, was the outcome of the results obtained some time ago with some of the LFC3ABS grade, which is a soft graphitic type of brush, not very strong mechanically, but which gave excellent results from commutation and silence point of view. This set of EG3417 brushes was tested under similar conditions to those of previous brush tests, the results being as follows:- Brush wear. | | Positive | Negative | Control. | |---|---|---|---| | Inner | .0145" | .009" | .014" | | Outer | .0105" | .0065" | .0105" | Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
