RE CLUTCHES.

Reference Sr/VA.3/GM.29.10.37.

We have already despatched a Thermoid faced driven plate suitable for B.35.KU, from Experimental Dept., although it was not marked for this chassis No., we would also explain that it is a B & B type, same as standard except for Thermoid in place of Rabestos, (not Long type).

Please instruct for two pairs of Graphite Bronze facings suitable for 20/25 or 3 1/2-Litre Bentley. Will VA please note that these facings are incorrectly drilled, so that it will be necessary to re-drill certain holes in the pressure plate and back plate, but by turning the facings round to the best position, most of the existing holes can be used, and it does not matter if 1 or 2 rivets are missing from the pressure plate, as there are more than enough rivets.

With regard to the P.III clutch plate, please instruct a standard production type, and we would explain that these have 6 cushion springs, it was only a few plates made by the Long Co., of U.S.A. which had 9 springs.
