and tested against torsional strain and vibration frequencies, so that any adjustments to the construction can be made before production is commenced.

Regarding design it is advisable that the complete range of models which you propose to standardise should be designed before press tools are made so that the greatest number of parts can be made interchangeable, and where variation is necessary provision can be made in the tool design to accommodate these, and by so doing a considerable saving can be effected.

From a point of view of minimising the tool cost per car it may be found that when bodybuilders realize the saving that can be effected by the use of pressings there may be a demand by them to purchase from you certain parts such as the all steel front end, centre pillars and sills. It has been my experience in the past that they have been pleased to have any of such parts that were available.

On appended sheets are three schemes dealing with the production of drawings and sample bodies.
