1166. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/HP.22.3.37. Phantom III Jacks with loose rubber glands. Referring to RC.{R. Childs}1/L/19.3.37, we are very disappointed with the small amount of work which these jacks are doing in a long time. The original idea of putting them on trials cars was to obtain results quickly as we imagined they would be used at least once a day when the car was washed. We want to get plenty of experience on these quickly because we understand from Sessions that if we can adopt the loose ring type rams there is a possibility of the price being reduced. Could you arrange with "RC{R. Childs}" to have the jacks operated more frequently so that we can arrive at some conclusion in a reasonably short time? E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
