8. 12.B.V. GEARBOX BEARINGS.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} said he thought this gearbox had now reached a stage where it should be stripped, or we might be in danger of scrapping it. It will be examined within the next few days.

9. UNDERSEAT HEATER.

When SO 3.B.V. returns, a test will be carried out to see how effective this heater is.

10. ENGINE MOUNTING.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} reported that the reason the column shook on the Ripplet 4-cylinder, under idling conditions was because it was not properly attached to the scuttle. The trouble was demonstrated to Mr. Green, who is going to ensure that it does not occur on production cars.

11. PISTON SEIZURES.

The oil holes have been opened up to avoid piston seizures and the oil consumption figures of some of the cars are not satisfactory. Check should be continued as necessary and ring pressure should be increased to get a figure, under English conditions, of between 1500 and 2000 M.P.G.

12. DIRECTION INDICATORS.

12.B.V. will be brought up to date while it is in the shop.

13. STAINLESS STEEL CHANNELLING.

This will be fitted to 12.B.V. while it is in the shop.

14. LIGHT WHEELS.

The Vauxhall is now on the road again, fitted with these.

15. MYTH BODY.

Mr. Green has visited Park Wards and reported on progress.

16. HINGES.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will take up with Mr. Ward the question of getting information for us to rectify the unsatisfactory points on the standard B.V body.

17. AVON TYRES.

A test will be carried out with a pair of these tyres, with the Indias, before a report is finally circulated.

18. S.U. CARBURETTERS.

The needle investigation will be carried out forthwith. New needles have been submitted by CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} FOR TEST. The matter will not be allowed to drop until we have got the standard B.V to give the same consumption as the B.II at the same axle ratio and weight.

19. SPRINT TESTING RIG.

This will be running by Wednesday.

20.

When the experiments on servo lining and underseat heater are finished, this will be given back to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
