+ 3 - 21. ALUMINIUM 8-CYLINDER ENGINE. The Drawing Office instruction on this has been held up owing to tank work. 22. MYTH. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has taken a number of people from Myth to work on tank design, and this has slowed up the job. It is expected that instructions on this car will be completed in a month's time. 23. MORRIS BOX. It was agreed that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} would try and buy another Morris box from KENNINGS. If we can get a box, we should check its silence compared with the one we have, by building the car with it and keeping the box we have at present for examination and eventually fitting to Myth. 25. SENIOR RANGE GEARBOX SPECIFICATION. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} stated that the progress in manufacture was good. In view of the failures we have had, it may be necessary for us to instruct some new pieces with strengthened second speed dogs. 26. THRUST RACE FAILURES ON SENIOR RANGE AXLES. The cages have been ovalised on 4 3.B.50 and 30.G.VII to overcome the trouble that has been experienced. 27. NEW TYPE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS. New type front shock absorbers will be fitted to 12.B.V while it is in the shop. 28. WATER PUMPS. Cast iron water pumps are now running on 30.G.VII, 3.B.50 and 9.B.V., with Morton Stuart glands. The aluminium water pump is running on 4 B.50. MORGAN 29. HAND BRAKE LEVERS SENIOR RANGE. No report has yet been issued, but Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby} will do this so that Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} can give the matter attention. 30. CAST IRON SIX CYLINDER ENGINE IN 9.B.V. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} reported that there was a foul between the bonnet and air silencer when a cast alum pipe was fitted. Draper will examine this. 31. PATTERN MAKING FOR SIX CYLINDER RATIONALISED ENGINE. CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} will get Walker to go and see B.U.S.M. and fix up something between them.
