261 WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LTD., LYMINGTON HANTS WORKS TELEPHONE LYMINGTON 520 WORKS TELEGRAMS "WELLWORTHY" PRIVATE TELEPHONE LYMINGTON 232 MANAGING DIRECTOR'S OFFICE 1st November, 1938. JH/KES W. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Robotham, I don't want to worry you about my car, but it has now done about 25,000 miles. I have had no trouble with oil consumption or anything like that, as far as I know, but what happens is that there is a small rumble in the back axle when the engine is pulling, which stops when coasting along. It sounds as though a ball bearing or something of that kind has gone. Are these cars subject to this trouble and ought it to have happened in so comparatively short a distance? Will this come under the guarantee and can they do it in London or will I have to send the car to Derby? Sorry to trouble you. With kind regards, Yours sincerely | ||
