HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} TO EFC. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} BA. Copy to CJ. " BJ. " LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} ORIGINAL Rec'd at WW. evening of 31/3/26. 7-EX. X8991 X8770 X8830 The front seats of this car were, or have become, 2" lower than standard, or 9" under steering wheel. This we have temporarily corrected by 2" packing. This remark is made because I said the standard must not be altered: if worked to it is correct. X4618 The accumulator on this car is a strange one, marked on the vent plug 'Oldham'. The charge of 15 amps. seems too much for it, and it has repeatedly blown out acid through the vent plug, and corroded the copper terminals, etc. Though it is still working it has failed to start the engine because it quickly lost much acid. This remark means to say - why send a battery which is not standard so far from home for so long a time. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
