The amount of brush dust deposited on the brush-holders and end-brackets was small. Finally the machine was run on the bench and the peak output at 80°C observed. This was found to agree with that given by the machine before being put in the car. From these results, the machine generally and the brushes and commutation particularly are considered satisfactory.
