CAR NO.11-RO.{C. C. Rose - Export Manager} MESSRS. NELSON.
OVER-OILING.

This car was tested yesterday and was found to be seriously over-oiling. There was not any mis-firing of the plugs, but after a very short run all the cylinder bores and piston heads were swimming in oil. There was so much present that it is not conceivable that plug trouble would not arise in a very short time.

In these circumstances, it is considered that this will be a very suitable car on which to demonstrate the efficacy of the alteration now proposed to overcome these over-oiling troubles, and it is, therefore, desired that they be applied to this car and tested out.

Arrangements are being made to send the car up to Derby by rail, as soon as possible.
