To RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HMW

Further to our telephone conversation we have fitted one new Avon & the spare to the front hubs & balanced them.

The spare was already perfectly balanced, while the new one was 1oz out @ the wheel rim, ie 9 oz/rim, this was corrected by putting a weight under one of the wheel cap retaining springs.

We shall be able to let you have our full report on the Avon tyres in a day or two.

Regarding the floor boards they would not foul the X when jumped upon.
