Thank you for your report and memo. dated 2.2.39.

We note your remarks on the valves. We are sorry the damper links are not quite correct but hope they will keep you running. They can be modified if necessary by cutting and welding. If the brake rods foul the damper arms the links will have to be lengthened and if the rods foul the links themselves they will have to be offset from the top joint like those removed, in fact the top half of the old links could be welded to the lower half of the new ones, after cutting both to correct length.

As long as the brake rods do not become worn or bent do not worry.
